По LRIP Lot 2 заказывали шесть F-35А и шесть F-35B
On July 27th 2007 Lockheed Martin was awarded an estimated $2.440bn advance acquisition contract for long lead components, parts, and materials associated with the Lot 2 Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP II) of six F-35A Conventional Take-Off and Landing (CTOL) for the U.S. Air Force and six F-35B Short Take-off and Vertical Landing Air Systems for the U.S. Marine Corp.

В рамках выполнения заказа по Лот 2 в 2011 г. поставлены шесть F-35A (AF-9,AF-8,AF-10,AF-11,AF-12,AF-13) и один F-35B (BF-6).
По следующему Lot 3 LRIP заказывали восемь F-35A (CTOL) и девять F-35B (STOVL)
Затем по Lot 4 заказали:
10 (CTOL) F-35A для U.S. Air Force; 16 F-35B (STOVL) для the U.S. Marine Corps; 2 F-35B (STOVL) для the United Kingdom Royal Navy; и 4 F-35C для U.S. Navy.
Затем по Lot 5 заказали:
21 F-35A для Air Force
3 F-35B для Marine Corps
6 F-35C для Navy
